Objective
To design and build a traveling sprayboom which would attempt to simulate steady state unsaturated flow over a large area (1200 sq. ft.). This traveling spray boom would run every few minutes, 24 hrs a day for months on end. The amount of water applied each day was varied by changing the duty cycle of the sprayer. The purpose of the sprayer was for a research project to study unsaturated flow.
