SGT Engineering's single channel frequency data logger was designed for measuring and recording a single sensor which outputs a variable frequency signal in relation to some measured parameter.
This datalogger is compatible with the CS615 soil moisture probe from Campbell Scientific©.
Additionally this datalogger includes protection against accidentally attaching the power supply backwards, a combination of zener diodes and transient voltage suppressors on both the input and switched output to protect against momentary voltage spikes/shorts. The switched output features a user specified delay from 1 to 45,000 milliseconds to allow for the sensor output to stabilize prior to measurement.
18,724 time and date stamped samples can be stored in non-volatile memory. The contents of memory will be retained for up to ten years in the absence of power.
If you were recording every hour, the memory would fill in 780 days.
All settings are retained in non-volatile memory until changed by the user.
The datalogger's real time clock is backed up by a 3 vdc lithium battery for up to ten years in the absence of power.
